Why You’ll Love This Recipe!

One of the best things about summer is berry season. Fruit Pizza is the perfect dessert to show off all of the delicious fruit of the season.

This recipe is so easy to make. You start by baking store bought sugar cookie dough, then frost the sugar cookie base with a delicious cream cheese frosting, tops with your favorite fruit, and drizzle with white chocolate.

It is not only pretty but so delicious too.  Perfect for a summer BBQ, a dinner party, or just because!

Ingredients

  • Store-bought Sugar Cookie Dough, you can find in the refrigerated section of the grocery store. If you prefer to make it homemade, you can use this sugar cookie recipe.
  • Cream Cheese, softened
  • Vanilla Extract or Almond Extract
  • Sugar, granulated
  • Lemon Juice, fresh squeezed
  • White Chocolate. Use white chocolate chips or white chocolate baking bar. You can also use white melts.
  • Fruit, use whatever fruit you like.  We like to use strawberries, mandarin oranges, raspberries and blueberries.

Tips from leigh Anne

  1. The dough will seem thin, but will puff up when it bakes.
  2. Keep dough refrigerated until ready to roll out and bake.
  3. This recipe can also be baked on a rectangular sheet pan
  4. Other fruit that you can use includes: pineapple, mango, grapes, watermelon, bananas, kiwi, cantaloupe, other melons.
  5. If you need a dessert for a patriotic holiday turn this into a patriotic fruit pizza by using red berries such as raspberries and strawberries and blueberries. You can also make the cookie layer in a rectangle and decorate it to look like a flab

Frequently Asked Questions

Does fruit pizza need to be refrigerated?

Yes, because of the cream cheese leftovers should be kept refrigerated covered or in an airtight container.

Can I make fruit pizza ahead of time?

You can bake the cookie crust ahead of time and make the cream cheese layer a day or two ahead of time. Keep the cream cheese layer in an airtight container in the fridge for 1-2 days. Wait to assemble the fruit pizza and add the fruit until you are ready to serve it.
