Why You’ll Love This Recipe!

It’s fancy! It looks fancy and tastes fancy but it’s so easy to make! You can have these delicious balsamic pork chops ready in under 30 minutes.

They are delicious! We love a good pork chop at our house but when you add the balsamic reduction to these pork chops it takes them to the next level.

Ingredients Needed

  • Bone-In Pork Chops.  I used a pork loin rib chop.
  • Salt and pepper
  • Balsamic vinegar. You can use a flavored balsamic vinegar too,
  • Honey
  • Butter
  • Thyme. I prefer using fresh thyme, if using dry thyme use half the amount. You can also use fresh rosemary.

How to Make Balsamic Pork Chops

  • Salt and pepper pork chops and allow the to sit at room temperature for 30 minutes prior to cooking.

  • Place the balsamic pork chops on a plate and give them a nice drizzle with some of the remaining balsamic reduction.  I love the flavor of the sauce so I am very generous with it!

Grilling Tips from leigh Anne

  •  Get a digital meat thermometer.  If you are going to grill, you need one of these!  A digital thermometer lets you know instantly what the temperature of your meat is without cutting into the meat to see how done it is!  When you cut into the meat you release all that yummy juice!
  • Let your meat sit out from the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before you put it on the grill.  I sprinkle it with salt and pepper and leave it sitting on the counter.
  • Don’t over cook your pork! Remove your pork chop from the grill when the temperature hits 145 degrees and let it rest for 3 minutes.  It will continue to cook after you remove it from the grill and as it sits on the plate for the three minute rest. Balsamic Pork Chops are safe to eat when it is still light pink.

Frequently Asked Questions

What else can I use the balsamic reduction on?

You can pretty much put it on anything! I love to use it drizzled over pizza, a salad, roasted vegetables, bruschetta or use it to dip bread into!

Can I cook balsamic pork chops on the stove top instead of the grill?

Absolutely! Just add a tablespoon of olive oil to a cast iron skillet and heat oil. Sear the first side of the pork chop for 4 minutes, basting with the balsamic reduction. Turn and cook the other side for 3 minutes, basting with the reduction. The time may vary depending on the thickness of your pork chop. Remove pork chops from pan when they reach 145 degrees F. and place on a plate. Let rest for 3-5 minutes or until meat reaches. Cover pork chop with additional balsamic reduction.
